IMAGINE PICASSO / VANCOUVER

IMAGINE PICASSO
THE IMMERSIVE EXHIBITION

Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre – East Building / Vancouver

October 27th, 2021 – January 8th, 2022

Our most advanced technology named “Image Totale” is the original concept for immersive exhibitions, a French savoir faire invented by Albert Plécy in 1977 and developed today by his Grand-Daughter in law Annabelle Mauger.

The visitor of Imagine Picasso walks into giant projections of Picasso’s 200 most iconic works in an original architecture signed by Star Architect Rudy Ricciotti (who made the last extension of the Louvre). The show can offer some 2000 square meters of projection surface, synchronizing multichannel music with 80 HD video projectors, carrying the synchronization of video and audio signals trough a vast network of fiber-optics links.

The directors Annabelle Mauger and Julien Baron have worked academically with Picasso art historian Androula Michael. Their “warping” process respects totally the integrity of the original artworks, while inviting by its multichannel format to a highly participative experience. Each visitor can imagine his own Picasso exhibition. Art is liberated from the frame and the visitor from the guided tour. The viewer is invited to make his own path. “A painting only lives by the one who looks at it, Picasso was saying. Here, you walk through the heart of the artist’s world as his artworks are projected everywhere you gaze at. It feels like entering into a dream: monumental projections of the artworks all around, on high-walls and on the ground, the vibrancy of the brushstrokes, the colours are brought to life with a synchronized musical atmosphere.

We own the world exclusive Licence for a digital Picasso exhibition. The show puts together for the first time an impossible body of Picasso’s masterpieces selected in cooperation with the Picasso Estate. It comes with an innovative educational gallery destinated to all audiences.

Picasso is the only modern artist whose masterpieces such as Les Demoiselles d’Avignon or Guernica are classified national treasures and forbid to tour. Also, today, this exhibition in a traditional format could simply not happen because of the sky-rocking values the works have reached which would impact directly insurance and transportation costs of the paintings.

Imagine Picasso is simply the Picasso impossible comprehensive retrospective come true: A ready-to-tour production, adaptable to every large-scale event space. After a first successful presentation at La Sucrière in Lyon in 2019, we aim a world tour of this unique show inviting the audience to enter literally into Picasso’s world and genius.

SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL / PARIS

SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL
MINIATURE ART

Galerie Joseph / Paris

October 15th, 2021 – January 15th, 2022

In recent years, many artists from all over the world have been playing with scale and introducing us to a smaller way of seeing things, and awakening our inner child. Miniature art transports us to a poetic location, from an unexpected angle, where precision is essential.

On #MiniatureArt social media, artists like Slinkachu provoke the viewer. They regularly use the element of surprise and are followed by thousands/millions of people.

“Small is beautiful, Miniature Art” is the first European exhibition to compile the work of 20 miniature artists and present their work to the general public. After the undisputed success of the #MiniatureArt phenomenon on social networks, the exhibition offers exclusive access to the magical and sometimes unusual worlds of some of the greatest artists in the movement.

“Small is beautiful, Miniature Art” is an incredible journey and a unique experience that offers behind-the-scenes access to small-scale universes full of artistry and poetry, whose only limit is the creative vision of their authors.

OPENING SOON : IMAGINE MONET / MONTREAL

IMAGINE MONET
THE IMMERSIVE EXHIBITION

Arsenal Art Contemporain / Montréal

December 15th, 2021 – February 27th, 2022

Above all, Monet wanted to capture the fleeting nature of the light reflected on the landscape, on people and things. In his rapid execution in the open air, and the resulting dissolution of form, he went against the academicism of the time and created colorful environments that could be considered the first immersive works in the history of Modern Art.

Created by Annabelle Mauger, Julien Baron and art historian Androula Michael, Imagine Monet features more than 200 paintings created by the founder of Impressionism Claude Monet, including the series of the “Cathedrals” and the “Water Lilies” from his garden in Giverny. The artistic approach in Image Totale© designed by Annabelle Mauger and Julien Baron will immerse the viewer in the heart of the Monet paintings. Presented by Tandem Expositions and produced by Encore Productions, the same team behind the exceptional success of Imagine Van Gogh and Imagine Picasso.

IMAGINE VAN GOGH
THE DREAM-EXHIBITION COME TRUE

SoWa Power Station / Boston

December 21st, 2021 – February 20th, 2022

Our most advanced technology named “Image Totale” is the original concept for immersive exhibitions, a French savoir faire invented by Albert Plécy in 1977 and developed today by his Grand-Daughter in law Annabelle Mauger.

The visitor of Imagine Van Gogh walks into giant projections of 200 Van Gogh’s iconic works in an original architecture. The show can offer some 2000 square meters of projection surface, synchronizing multichannel music with 80 HD video projectors, carrying the synchronization of video and audio signals trough a vast network of fiber-optics links.

The directors Annabelle Mauger and Julien Baron have worked academically with art historians focusing their show on the Provencal peak period of Van Gogh’s career. Their “warping” process respects totally the integrity of the original artworks, while inviting by its multichannel format to a highly participative experience. Each visitor can imagine his own Van Gogh exhibition. Art is liberated from the frame and the visitor from the guided tour. The viewer is invited to make his own path. You walk through the heart of the artist’s world as his artworks are projected everywhere you gaze at. It feels like entering into a dream: monumental projections of the artworks all around, on high-walls and on the ground, the vibrancy of the brushstrokes, the colours are brought to life with a synchronized musical atmosphere.

“I dream my painting and I paint my dream” Van Gogh was saying. Van Gogh is perhaps the world’s best-known painter whose paintings grace the walls of the most prestigious museums. From the famous Starry Night to the legendary Sunflowers, Imagine Van Gogh is a multi-sensorial journey into the artist’s creation. The show puts together for the first time an impossible body of Van Gogh’s masterpieces. Today, this exhibition in a traditional format could simply not happen because of the sky-rocking values the works have reached which would impact directly insurance and transportation costs of the paintings.

Imagine Van Gogh is simply the Van Gogh impossible exhibition come true: A ready-to-tour production, adaptable to every large-scale event space. The show has already been presented with great success in Paris Grande Halle de la Villette in 2017, and is touring now in Canada (at Arsenal in Montréal in 2019, Québec City Convention Centre in 2020, then in Winnipeg and Vancouver). We aim a world tour of this unique show inviting the audience to enter literally into Van Gogh’s world and genius.
